The Georgetown Super-8 Film Festival was created by my friend and neighbor, Laura Wright as a community engagement project that encourages any and all Georgetown residents to try their hand at filmmaking. All ages and all skill levels are welcome and the range of short films created is a testament to the diversity of the Duwamish Valley. GS-8 celebrated its 10th Anniversary in October of 2024.
Below is a sampling of some of the films I have created for the Georgetown Super-8 Film Festival. My 2019 offering, Jellybean the Sidecar Queen won a Judge’s Choice award and in 2024 I was given a Lifetime Achievement Award for having created eight films in the festival’s first ten years.
